Accidentally Erased...

My apologies to some of you who wrote us very nice comments about our show in the earlier post "We Have A Great Audience". What happened was, I was sorting and organising the blog, clearing up some older posts and accidentally erased that one as well... sigh. Aniwaes, I still remember the nice things you all said there, but if you want to write them again, that would be really really nice.

The Perfect Way to watch So Simple

Ideally, So Simple should be enjoyed in a lazy afternoon with a cup of warm milk tea, a piece of comforting cake and the gentle rain quietly tapping and trickling like a perfect soundtrack. The epitome of pure and simple luxury!

ps 1: I can't resist quoting a comment made by one of our viewers :
"...So Simple 就好像是慵懒的午后那一杯滋润的下午茶，让观众看后觉得真的生活的脚步放慢了，该好好思考自己的一切。。。"
ps 2 : that piece of "victorian sponge" cake was made by Peifen and it tasted really yummy! We have a great patissier in the making!

其实不简单

Today 11 Jan. So Simple 2 will telecast on 22 Jan, 11 days from today. 30 days of pre-production since May. 35 days, 12 hour each day, on location in 4 different cities between July and November. 20 days of post-production before epsiode 1 on Jan 22. And many more xxx days of struggle and sleepless nights for the producers and editors for the next 7 episodes to follow .... It is actually not So simple afterall....

As a part of the So Simple team and one who is taking care of this blog, I'm constantly curious about our viewers and visitors. May I invite you guys to just drop me a line or two and tell me a bit more about yourself?

如果不想报上大名也没关系。 只想在这里多了解一下我们的观众群。毕竟我们做节目除了为发挥创意，传达讯息，也是为了满足观众朋友，让大家看了开心和有所启发。尤其这次到国外拍摄，遇到的人和事物敞开了我们的心怀和视野，更想尽量把拍摄过程的感受和心情，借着节目传达给大家。希望节目播出的时候，你们不只是看，也同时能体会到 “简单就是美2” 内容的意义，还有幕后的心思。

早到。迟到

慧芬第一次提起这个节目的概念。是2006年3月初。
3月6日，我们开始四处寻访“高人”。

没多少头绪，然而却是我当资料撰稿以来，兴致最高的一次。
一切开始的时候，真的很simple，几乎什么都没有。没有节目骨架，也还没找到主持人，所以可以天马行空，可以尽情幻想。

节目从策划到落实，真的一波三折… 筹备工作一度喊停，然后相隔约半年的时间，又“死灰复燃”… 挺曲折离奇的，或许真的是傻人有傻福吧？

只可惜，在临开拍前，我必须匆匆“跑路”离开新加坡。在最关键的期间无法参与，一直是我的遗憾。还好在我“厚脸皮”死命纠缠下，慧芬让我归队，真的很感恩。像Mian安慰的：迟到，总好过没到。:)

早出。晚归

难得碰到喜欢的节目概念，还有融洽的合作伙伴。
所以大家几乎不像在工作。很久没这样疯过了。或许可以这样说，这次的工作，真的不完全是为五斗米，更多是因为和这群“疯婆子/癫男人”合作，实在太过瘾了！

我想，是那份革命情怀，把一群简单的傻人紧紧地牵在一起。

所以再早起床（对“老睡不醒”来说，可是天大的成就 :p），再迟下班（有同样夜猫子酒鬼的剪辑师Herlin做伴，然后一起醉生梦死，难得！），再痛苦都很值得。所以更不介意如此周而复始……

[不过，老太婆真的体力惊人，换成我，肯定老早就一趴不起。]

朋友刚好路过，看了一集《简单就是美》，华语和马克一样不灵光的他说：节目给了他梦想的翅膀。

而这样的美梦，大家都渴望能继续做下去…

亲爱的老太婆、老爱美、老迟到、老爱喝、老爱讨、老爱吃等一众“老相好”们：万分感激，希望后会有期！
